International Arrangements:

GUINEA became a member state of OAPI with effect from 13th January 1990.

It is no longer possible to file new trade mark applications in GUINEA alone.
Protection in this country is now obtained by applications filed in OAPI (see separate text).

GUINEA registrations effected prior to 13th January 1990 continue to be dealt with in accordance with the previous procedures, and no announcement has been made concerning the taking of such registrations onto the OAPI register.

  • 10 Prints, even for word marks in ordinary type.

 

C. Assignments/Mergers

  • Deed of Assignment or other instrument of title, with verified French translation.

 

D. Change of Name

  • Power of Attorney (not legalised).
  • Certificate of Change of Name, with verified French translation.

 

E. Change of Address

  • Power of Attorney (not legalised).

 

F. Licences/Registered Users

  • Powers of Attorney (not legalised) from proprietor and licensee.
  • Licence Agreement, with verified French translation.
