On Tuesday the 4th of February 2013 the Federal Government of Nigeria launched the Intellectual Property Automated System (IPAS). Tagged, by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment, as the largest system of automated processing of Trademark, Patent and Industrial Design applications in Africa, the IPAS is expected to create a more efficient, cost effective and transparent process of Trade Mark, Patent and Industrial Design registration.
